The Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation is a 1:1 Computing District
All Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation (MVCSC) students and staff have been immersed in a technology-rich environment with individual computer devices since fall of 2015. The 1:1 Digital Learning Initiative (one computer device to one student/staff) is a tool to motivate, engage, and challenge students to learn 21st century skills that will be an integral part of virtually every aspect of their daily lives.
Kindergarten through 12th Grade - Students will be provided a Dell Chromebook. Students are responsible for charging their Chromebooks each night and bringing a fully charged Chromebook to school.

WITH Chromebook Premium
By paying the $25 Chromebook Premium you protect your child's device from ANY accidental damage that make occur during the school year.
Common Damages:
The premium protects against TWO accidental damages per year. Those elementary students with the older model Chromebook who have a damage will receive a replacement with no cost by paying for the premium.
WITHOUT Chromebook Premium
If you choose not to pay the $25 premium you will be held responsible for any and all damage to the device. The cost the repairs will be determined by our repair company. See below for common damages and the fees (parts and labor) for repair.
Those elementary students who still have the older model Chromebook will have a flat $25 charge for any damage and will receive a like model functional Chromebook.
