Ambassadors Program Graduation 2025

The Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation is pleased to share and congratulate the fourth cohort of MV Ambassadors on their graduation. The special group of community members learn behind-the-scenes information about Mt. Vernon operations and programming in eight meetings throughout the school year. MV Ambassadors are empowered with school knowledge about every department and become a resource for the community.

MV Ambassadors attend one Tuesday morning meeting per month from August through April, excluding December. In order to graduate, they are asked to miss no more than one meeting throughout the school year. In these meetings, Ambassadors gain special insights into school operations and the interworkings of the different departments and programs, including transportation, finance, special education, technology, high ability, and more. 

The Ambassador program is designed to help people be a resource of Mt. Vernon knowledge for friends and the community. Dialogue with school leaders and providing feedback are part of the experience. Anyone in the community is welcome to apply to be a 2025-2026 MV Ambassador; having a student at Mt. Vernon is not a requirement.

This outstanding group of Ambassadors exemplified dedication and a genuine investment of time as they explored the inner workings of our school district and the vital roles of each department,” said Maria Bond, Director of Community Relations. “It is truly rewarding to empower our community with knowledge that strengthens their connection to and pride in our school system.”

Throughout the year, Ambassadors are also encouraged to support our community in a variety of ways, including bringing non-perishable donations for local food pantries. As they visit most schools for their monthly meetings, Ambassadors learn how community partnerships play an important role in the educational experience of our students.
